As a community of users on Midjourney, we’ve all initiated a plan to formulate a list of the platform’s banned words. Unfortunately, Midjourney has yet to release this list to the public, leaving many of us wondering what words we can and can’t use to generate AI images.
This lack of transparency has led to confusion among users, as well as a significant number of accidental violations of the platform’s rules. However, through the collective efforts of our community on Discord, we have spent a lot of time and effort putting together a detailed list of banned words that can be found below. It’s important to note that the list is built by the community, and there might be a few errors.
Feel free to download the lists below:
The importance of an official banned list.
An official banned list would not only provide users with a clear understanding of what they can and cannot do on the platform, but it would also help to reduce the number of accidental violations of the rules. This would be beneficial for both users and the platform, as it would lead to a more efficient and effective use of the platform. Additionally, an official banned list would increase transparency and trust in the platform, as users would know that the platform is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Our community-generated list of banned words
To aid in this effort, we have compiled a list of words that have been banned by Midjourney, along with the associated banned words used to generate them. This list can be found in the attached images and will give you a better understanding of what types of words are not allowed on the platform. We will be updating this list regularly as our community figures out more banned words.
/imagine prompt as a conclusion
Thanks to the collective efforts of our community, we have been able to put together a detailed list of banned words that can be found in this article. We believe that an official banned list would greatly benefit the platform and its users by providing a clear understanding of the rules and reducing accidental violations. We also hope that by sharing our community-generated list, Midjourney will consider releasing an official list to the public, increasing transparency and trust in the platform.
