Moz Pro is known as the most advanced search engine optimization (SEO) toolset when compared to its peers. It was designed to help individuals and businesses to improve their search engine visibility and monitor the success of their SEO strategy. The suite includes a wide range of tools, including Link Explorer, keyword explorer, rank tracker, campaigns, and research tools. Previously it was known as SEOmoz; it was founded back in 2004 and managed to evolve into Moz Pro. The company has worked incredibly hard to upgrade its package, which costs about $79 per month (annually). Its metrics have impressed so many people in the industry that it has become a necessary tool for SEO experts.

The versatility of this toolset makes this platform an excellent choice for small businesses and larger ones. There are many large businesses that use this service, such as Alaska Airlines, Zillow, and such. It has a plans and pricing section, which we will discuss later.

Keywords Explorer

This feature is very important for SEO experts, as it was designed to help users to find new keywords and improve their keyword research process. Keyword Explorer provides users with important metrics such as search volume, difficulty, and potential click-through rate, allowing you to identify the best keywords for your website. It makes SEO analysis easy and enables you to deliver positive results for a certain keyword.

Moz, besides the difficulty score of a keyword, will also give you an opportunity and potential scores. Basically, besides the competitiveness it will also provide you with more in-depth information, making SEO life easier.

User Experience

What everyone is interested in a platform before everything else is their User Interface, as this will either enhance the user experience or make it more difficult. Most users report finding the Moz interface easy to use, as locating what you’re looking for is simple. You can even add a chrome extension known as “MozBar”, which will allow you to gain access to the most important metrics. This extension will provide information such as PA, DA, and spam scores of any website.

Link Explorer

One of the key features of Moz Pro, this one replaced Moz’s open site explorer. Link explorer was designed to help users gain confidence in their links by providing metrics such as PA, DA, and spam score. This tool will so also provide information for their competitors and allow them to have access and see where they get their links from. Basically, it will help you develop a more successful backlink profile for your website.

Site Crawling

Moz Pro’s Site crawler does the crawling automatically and sends out weekly monitoring alerts for the website. Then it sends alerts for the new issues, and these alerts have priority according to their level; the crawler will categorize issues accordingly and will set them in correlation with the workflow to be fixed, where it will check:

You will receive instructions to add tags, edit metadata, or other actions that will assist you in solving the issues reported. This automatic crawl is supposed to run once a week.

Moz Pro Support

Most of these platforms lack when it comes to their support, but not Moz. This platform offers enough resources to cover each field of the service. It even has different guides available for the new SEO experts, or you can join the community that will allow you to connect with hundreds and thousands of digital marketers.

I would like to be able to expressively say that you can contact the support team also, but I wouldn’t recommend it, as I haven’t heard that they provide good service in their customer service interaction, as their response time might be off.

Rank Tracker

The rank tracker is designed to help users monitor their website’s search engine rankings over time. You will receive daily updates on your website’s ranking; this will allow you to track how effective your SEO strategies are. Many SEO experts might find themselves wondering to see their results as soon as possible, to know whether they should make changes in their strategy or keep going, as the strategy might be right on point.

Pros and Cons of Moz Pro

Every tool has its Pros and Cons when it comes to platforms that provide such features and metrics for SEO; here as some of them:

Pros:

Moz offers a full array of SEO services for those that want to deal with their organic traffic from a certain platform only.
It is a perfect tool for exploring links and keywords, as well as the accuracy of a rank tracker is highly effective.
It has an easy UI compared to other platforms, making it easy to navigate.

Cons:

According to some users, the spam score and DA metrics require improvements.
Some report that the keyword volume is much lower than those compared to other tools.
Some users report the pricing to be high.

Pricing & Plans

As each SEO tool and platform Moz Pro also has its Pricing and Plans. This one offers four (4) different plans, and each of them include different features and metrics.

The Standard plan, in my opinion, is not worth it as it offers only 3 campaigns, 300 keyword rankings, 60 performance metrics (tracked URL), 150 keyword Queries, 10000 rows per keyword query, and only 1 link tracking list. Whereas, the Medium plan allows you to try it for free (which is very important), and immensely improves the number of Campaigns, making it 10, 1500 keyword rankings, 5000 keyword queries, 30000 rows per keyword query, and 30 link tracking links.

Obviously, this difference was made intentionally, but I cannot lie; the difference is so big that I would rather take the Medium Plan.

You can also look for the Large and Premium plans, but they cost too much, and if you’re a small business, it might not be as affordable as the standard and/or medium plans.

In conclusion, this platform is the best SEO tool offering platform considered by many SEP experts and users. Most of us, find it almost impossible to do your SEO expertise if a platform such as this wouldn’t have existed. Basically, it might make your life easier, but it comes with a reasonable financial price if you’re interested to properly build your business online.
